How does the Novren™ Deep Thaw Sauna Tent work?
Fill the generator's 2L reservoir with tap water and plug it into a normal power point. The 1000W generator boils the water and sends steam down the hose into the zipped, quilted tent. You sit on the folding chair with your head out through the cinched top opening, so you breathe room air while your body sits in the steam. The quilted fabric holds the heat in, and the remote lets you choose from 9 heat levels.
Is it a dry sauna or a steam sauna, and how hot does it get?
It is a wet-heat steam unit, not a dry or infrared sauna. You set the intensity across 9 heat levels with the remote. If you specifically want very high dry temperatures, this is the wrong product for you. If you want to warm up properly after a cold swim, it does that job well.
What exactly comes in the box?
Each Novren Deep Heat Recovery Set has four pieces: the collapsible quilted tent with a front zip entry, two side pockets and a cinched head opening; the 1000W steam generator with its 2L reservoir and corrugated hose; a folding chair; and an RF remote for the heat levels. You only need to add tap water and a power point.
Will it trip the breaker or push up my power bill?
The generator draws 1000W from a standard power point. That is less than many kettles or fan heaters. If you run it at full draw for a 20-minute session, it uses about a third of a kilowatt hour. In an older unit, avoid running it on the same circuit as a heater, kettle or dryer at the same time, which is how most breaker trips happen. No hardwiring, electrician or plumbing is needed.
I rent. Can I use it without my landlord's permission?
Yes. Renters are who we designed it for. Nothing is screwed in, drilled or plumbed, and nothing is fixed to a wall or the bathroom. The tent stands on its own, the generator runs from a standard power point and the reservoir takes ordinary tap water. Because nothing changes the property, there is nothing to ask permission for. When your lease ends, fold it down, put it in the car and set it up at your next place.
How much space do I need?
You need a patch of floor about 88 x 77 x 100 cm, close to a standard power point. Most people use a corner of the lounge, a spare room or a bedroom. You do not need a dedicated room. Between sessions it folds down to cupboard size in a couple of minutes, so a small unit can stay clear of clutter.
Can two people use one tent at once?
No. Each tent is built for one person, seated on the folding chair with their head out through the top opening. Keeping it to one person is what lets it fit in a unit and fold into a cupboard. If two of you want to use it, either take turns and let the tent air out between sessions, or choose a two-kit bundle so you each have your own setup running at the same time.
How do I run a session from start to finish?
Unfold the tent and put the chair inside. Fill the 2L reservoir with tap water, connect the hose and plug the generator into a power point. Once steam is flowing, sit down, zip the front closed and keep your head out through the top opening. Choose a heat level on the remote. When you have finished, unplug the generator, unzip the tent, step out and leave it open to air. Keep a drink nearby throughout.
Will the steam cause mould or condensation in a rental?
The steam stays inside the zipped tent while it runs, and the main habit that matters is drying everything afterwards. After each session, unzip the tent and let the inside air dry fully before you fold it. Wipe down any moisture inside the tent and open a window or run a fan in the room. The tent fabric is washable, so follow the care label to freshen it. Never fold or store it damp.
How do I care for the generator and store the kit?
Once the generator has cooled, empty the reservoir and wipe the unit down so no water sits inside. With a two-kit bundle, do this for each generator. The chair and remote only need a quick wipe. When every piece is completely dry, fold the tent and store it with the generator, hose, chair and remote so the kit stays together. A dry cupboard is the right place to keep it.
What does Novren make?
Each kit is a complete setup: a single-person quilted tent, a 1000W steam generator, a folding chair and a remote. It is designed so you can warm up after a cold swim or a hard session at home, without building anything, joining a gym or booking a sauna slot.
Who is Novren for?
Novren is for people who swim, dip, run or train and want somewhere warm to recover at home. That includes renters and anyone living in a small unit where nothing can be built in. The kit runs from a normal power point, folds into a cupboard and comes with you when you move. If you have been shivering in the carpark after an ocean swim, we made this for you.
Should I buy the full Novren Deep Heat Recovery Set or just the tent?
Buy the kit. The tent on its own produces no heat. The quilted enclosure holds the heat around you. The 1000W generator and hose feed steam in from a standard power point, the folding chair gives you somewhere to sit, and the RF remote sets the heat level. Some listings in this category sell a bare tent shell with no generator, so check what is included before you compare prices. Our kit is complete, and you need nothing else to run your first session.
Can I buy one kit now and add a second later?
Yes, you can. If you already know two people will use it, buying both kits together has practical advantages. The two enclosures, generators and remotes are matched and work the same way, so setting up the second kit is no different from the first. Both kits arrive in one delivery, which saves you a second order and a second 5 to 9 day wait. It also means neither of you is left waiting for a turn after a shared swim.
Which option suits me: one kit, a two-kit bundle or the Novren Complete Duo Recovery Set?
A single Novren Deep Heat Recovery Set suits one person who wants a steam setup at home without owning the place, building anything or paying for a membership. A two-kit bundle or the Novren Complete Duo Recovery Set suits a couple or housemates who both swim, run or train. Each person gets their own tent, generator, chair and remote, and the two kits run independently from separate power points. Choose based on how many people will use it in the same evening.
What if it is not right for me?
Set it up at home, use it after a few cold swims or hard sessions, and see whether it suits your routine. If it does not, contact our team within 30 days and we will arrange a refund. Our returns page sets out the full conditions.
Delivery
How much does delivery cost?
Delivery is free Australia-wide, with no minimum spend. At checkout you will see Free Priority Delivery, 5 to 9 days, free. You can also choose Premium Insured Delivery, also 5 to 9 days, for $2.95 if you want the parcel insured in transit. Postage is not added at checkout. A single towel costs nothing to send, and so does a full two-kit sauna order.
How long will my order take to arrive?
Both delivery options take 5 to 9 days. Free Priority Delivery is free, and Premium Insured Delivery is $2.95 for the added cover. We will not promise a particular day, because we would rather give you a window we can actually meet. If your parcel has not arrived after 9 days, contact our team with your order number and we will look into it with you.
Will my order arrive in one delivery or several parcels?
Every order is packed and dispatched within one to two business days. Your whole order ships together. A Novren Deep Heat Recovery Set arrives with the tent, generator, hose, chair and remote in the one delivery. With a two-kit bundle or the Novren Complete Duo Recovery Set, both complete kits come in the same order, so you are not waiting on separate shipments.
